Our Conservation Zoo, Whipsnade Zoo, is the most popular attraction in the East of England.
2024 was a fantastic year for us, and we're delighted to have been ranked the fifth most popular outdoor attraction, and the 12th most visited attraction outside of London by The Association of Leading Visitor Attractions (ALVA).
We've experienced a whopping 37% increase in visitors since 2019, and every ticket sold is supporting our work to protect species and their habitats in the wild.
What can I see and do at Whipsnade Zoo this Easter?
With over 600 acres and 11,000 animals, there's so much to discover at Whipsnade Zoo - from our herd of majestic Asian elephants, down to the tiny but incredibly important extinct-in-the-wild pupfish species we have in our freshwater Aquarium.
This Easter, join in with the Zoonormous Egg Hunt, visit our newest habitat - Monkey Forest - and spot our rare north African lion cubs.
Plus, we've got a giant outdoor play area, steam train, and farmyard. Everything you need for an adventure-filled day out.

Whipsnade Zoo is a hub of conservation activity, from crucial breeding programmes for endangered animals to native species conservation across our site. We're also part of global conservation charity, ZSL, and every ticket contributes to our vital work across the globe.
We hope you not only have a fantastic day out creating lasting memories at the Zoo, but leave with a new admiration for and understanding of the amazing wildlife we share our planet with. We want to inspire the next generation of conservationists and create a world where all wildlife can thrive.
