Support our animals at Whipsnade Zoo and help us restore wildlife around the world by taking on a fundraising challenge!
There are lots of ways you can fundraise for Whipsnade Zoo. Over the past few years, our brilliant fundraisers have dressed up as animals for wild sponsored walks, grown and sold plants, held birthday fundraisers, and have even walked from Whipsnade Zoo to London Zoo. The possibilities are endless!
Take on one of our challenges listed below, or come up with your own wild challenge, and you’ll become part of a team of animal-lovers, helping us to care for and protect threatened species for future generations.

Blenheim Palace Triathlon
Take on a triathlon for our animals in the stunning grounds of Blenheim Palace. This iconic event offers both beginner-friendly and advanced challenges, set in the grounds of a UNESCO world heritage site.
10-11 May & 20-21 September 2025
Tough Mudder
Challenge yourself to the world's best mud run and obstacle course for Whipsnade Zoo with one of our charity places in Tough Mudder, and support our animals and global conservation work.

Family-friendly inflatable fun run
Take on the world’s largest inflatable obstacle run, the Inflatable 5k. This family-friendly event is suitable for participants aged 5+. There are multiple venues across the UK. Everyone is welcome, and it’s a fantastic day out with friends or family!

Royal Parks Half Marathon
Run through London's parks for ZSL in 'Britain's most beautiful Half Marathon'! You'll pass the London Eye, Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament during this scenic 13.1 mile route.

Fly like a bird in a tandem skydive
Feel the full force of flying through the clouds from over 10,000ft at up to 125mph! A skydive might be something you’ve had on your bucket list of a while. If you decide to take the jump, you can raise money for Whipsnade Zoo at the same time.

Ride Reigate
Choose 100k, 50k or a family-friendly 25k cycle through a scenic route, while supporting our animals! There's something for everyone, from keen cyclists to leisure and family.

Show your support
Everyone who fundraises for us can get a free ZSL fundraising t-shirt, and if you raise £100 or more you can get two free Zoo tickets as a thank you for supporting wildlife.
Take on your own challenge
Becoming a fundraiser is simple, and fun! Just follow these steps to get going:
- First things first – choose your challenge! Check out our A-Z of ideas in our fundraising guide or come up with your own animal-themed fundraiser.
- Set up your fundraising page on JustGiving and click on the ‘start fundraising’ button.
- Follow the steps to set up and personalise your page. Include a photograph, share your story, and don’t forget to set a target – pages with targets raise 46% more on average.
- Roar loud and proud. Ask your friends, family, colleagues and neighbours to support you. Share your fundraiser on social media, WhatsApp and email – people love to hear about the good things you’re doing.
- Let’s get going! Put on your best animal outfit and get started with your challenge. Make sure to take pictures and tag Whipsnade Zoo on social media – we’d love to see what you get up to.
Every single penny you raise will make a real difference in supporting our animals and our worldwide conservation work.
