A very special adventure is coming to Whipsnade Zoo: twelve magical trolls need YOU to join their team of field researchers! They've noticed that we humans get up to all kinds of puzzling antics, and many grown-ups even seem to have forgotten how to connect with nature. So, the trolls have set off on an exciting mission to learn all they can about humankind – and they need the help of curious, nature-loving kids to show the way! Experience the world premiere of Trolls: A Field Study this summer at Whipsnade Zoo.
What’s Going on at Whipsnade?
These trolls are all about fun, curiosity and discovery. They’ve set up their study at Whipsnade Zoo, a place where humans and animals come together in harmony. The trolls think it’s the perfect place to do some research into the odd human behaviour they can’t understand and, hopefully, be pleasantly surprised by the things they have in common with nature-loving humans.
How Can You Help?
The trolls need small humans, who they see share their natural curiosity, to lead the way on the adventure! They need you to explore the zoo, find and interact with each of them and their natural surroundings. They’re big – so you can touch, climb, and explore every nook and cranny. Maybe one of them is sitting on a hill, watching the sunset, or leaning against a tree, conducting their very special part of the field study. The most important job falls to the young humans, sharing the experience with your grown-ups, showing them, and the trolls, that you know just how wonderful nature is.
With 12 trolls to discover, each with its own personality and special quirks, there’s a lot to uncover. Some are tall and majestic, while others are tucked away, waiting for your keen eyes to find them. Take your time and show your adults just how much fun it can be to stop and listen to the birds, touch the trees, and explore the wonders of the wild!
