What can my toddler do at Whipsnade Zoo?

There's so much fun for toddlers at Whipsnade Zoo, from our children's farm, to our soft play. And, if you're visiting on a Tuesday, we have our dedicated Toddler Safaris! 

Fancy waddling like a penguin, finding rainbows in the Butterfly House, or stomping like our crash of rhinos? Join us on our special Toddler Safari Tuesdays where each week we go on a mini adventure to explore the natural world around us. 

We know that little ones have a lot of energy - this is the perfect way for them to let off steam, meet other children, and learn all about some of our animals. 

These sessions are approximately 15-20 minutes long and take place during term time only. Activities are aimed at walking toddlers up to five years old.  

How do I join a Toddler Safari?

Whether you're a parent, grandparent, guardian, or childminder, all are welcome to join us for our Toddler Safari! Meet us on Tuesdays at 11.00am (term time only) from 4 March - check out our Toddler Safari sign at the Visitor Centre (Zoo Entrance) to find out where our activity will take place.

• Joining these walks is free of charge on paid entry to the Zoo or membership.
• Please arrive early to avoid queues on Zoo entry.
• As we play outside whatever the weather, please ensure your child has suitable clothing and accessories.

Childminder membership

We now offer a special Membership for registered childminders as an 1 Adult and up to 6 Children package. The childminder membership costs £220 for one year and grants access to all Gold member benefits. Childminder members can flexibly bring up to 6 children they care for into the Zoo with them on the day.
