Join the Zoonormous Egg Hunt at Whipsnade Zoo this Easter
From giant ostriches to tiny butterflies, discover all kinds of amazing egg-laying animals this Easter holidays at Whipsnade Zoo with a free*, fun trail for all the family,
Join the Zoonormous Egg Hunt to seek out eggs of all sizes and colours hidden around the Zoo, while learning about egg-ceptional species along the way. Unravelling clues or solving riddles at each location will crack the code, leading successful egg-splorers to the magnificent golden egg, where they’ll be rewarded with a tasty treat!
Along with Easter crafts and over 10,000 amazing animals in the UK’s biggest Zoo, you’ll be all set for a cracking day out!
Gold members, Fellows, and Patrons were able to join us for an exclusive early opening on Saturday 30 March. There was no need to pre-book, all you needed to do was show your Gold member, Fellow or Patron card at the gates between 9:00-9:30am.

* Valid ZSL membership or Zoo admission ticket required.
- Large print A3 trail cards are available for this event.
- Craft trays are available for those who are unable to sit at craft tables.
- Although there will be tracking in place in any areas which are difficult to access, the majority of the trail takes place outside of pathways.
- On the last Sunday of the month, Whipsnade Zoo offers relaxed openings where visitors with additional needs can enter the Zoo earlier than normal (9am). The relaxed opening on 31 March takes place part way through the Easter event, and therefore, relaxed opening visitors will be able to pick up trail cards as they arrive at 9am and to access the events hub from 9.30am.
